We ensure the integrity and accessibility of all information submitted for building control approval, maintaining the Golden Thread to support building safety. This commitment ensures:

Compliance: The building meets all functional requirements of building regulations during its construction.
Transparency: Evidence is provided for meeting the new building control route requirements throughout design, construction, and refurbishment.
Risk Management: Building safety risks are identified, understood, managed, and mitigated to prevent or reduce fire spread or structural collapse.
Golden Thread Principles: Information is stored, managed, maintained and retained in line with these principles.

Golden Thread Management

We provide the Golden Thread of information in an electronic format, ensuring it is accurate, understandable, and accessible. We work with the Principal Designer to:

Create and develop the Golden Thread during the design phase.
Capture any design work done during the construction phase.
Ensure the Golden Thread meets required standards and principles.
Co-operate and share information as necessary.

As Principal Contractor, we:

Manage and update the Golden Thread throughout the construction phase.
Finalize the Golden Thread and hand it over to the client at building completion.
Ensure the Golden Thread meets required standards and principles.
Collaborate and share information with the Principal Designer.
